Got There!

We finally arrived in Berlin last night at about 11PM.  Our flight from London was cancelled along with dozens of other flights; due to bad weather the day before.  We managed, after standing in line for several hours, to get a flight to Dusseldorf, then on to Berlin on that same day.  So it was  a small miracle that we made it within 24 hours.  The girls held up very well given the circumstances, and Grace carried her purse and pull-luggage through each and every connection without fail, though we had to be saved by a nice lady in Dusseldorf who gave us free warm milk for both girls just as they were melting down.  On the down side, they lost all our luggage, and still have no idea where it is...

We went to the Rathaus today and (after a 4 hour wait) got our residence permit, so we are officially here in Germany now.  Tomorrow we visit the Kennedy school and look around.  We must get a kindergarten permit from the Govt before the 15th in order for Grace and/or Zoe to attend.  This is scheduled for next tuesday, as it was the first available appointment spot.
